What a bespoke kitchen costs

An island in veneer with Siemens appliances, fully bespoke, installed by our own fitters: 26,290 euros including VAT. The quote from a large kitchen chain for the same kitchen came to 31,000 euros. The same kitchen in melamine instead of veneer comes to 14,830 euros.

Same layout, same cabinetry, same hardware, only a different front: almost eleven thousand euros of difference. That is how heavily the choice of material weighs.

Because Cervano also develops property, it buys sheet material, natural stone and taps at developer scale, and that advantage is in your price. If you can wait for the joint order of the 28th, there is also the kitchen through group purchase.

What our price includes

Cabinetry, worktop, appliances, sink, tap and installation by our own fitters.

What it does not include

Stripping out your old kitchen, electrics and plumbing, and adjustments to floor, plaster or ceiling. Ask for those items up front, from us and from every other maker.

The amounts on this page are what these kitchens cost, not a tariff: your kitchen is priced separately on your plan, your dimensions and your choices.

Where your money goes

Below is how a kitchen in veneer with a natural stone worktop breaks down, item by item. The proportions stay roughly the same, small or large; only the amount shifts.

Swipe the table sideways

Cabinetry, drawers and lighting, 53 percent. The furniture itself, plus the work of drawing, making and finishing it. This is where two quotes diverge most, and at the same time the item least visible on paper.

Appliances 27, worktop 12, installation 7, sink and tap 1 percent. The same oven costs about the same everywhere, so ask for the model numbers. With natural stone, the type of stone, the thickness, the edge finish and the number of cut-outs set the price. Why two quotes rarely say the same thing

Put two quotes side by side and both say kitchen. In reality you are rarely comparing the same piece of furniture. What moves the price is always the same short list:

• The dimensions and the complexity of the layout.
• The choice of material for the fronts and for the carcass.
• The worktop.
• The appliances.
• The preparatory work: electrics, plumbing, stripping out the old kitchen, adjustments to floor or plaster. And above all whether the maker does it or someone else.

How we work

• At your home. We measure the room and draw your kitchen in 3D.
• In our workshop in Antwerp. That is where your kitchen is finished. Allow six to twelve weeks from order to installation.
• On site. Our own fitters install, cabinet by cabinet, in one or two days.

The rest of the home too

• Bespoke kitchen, from cabinetry and worktop to built-in appliances.
• Wardrobes and cabinet walls, up to the ceiling, with lighting and a layout to measure.
• Bathroom units and storage, in moisture-resistant finishes.
• Library and wall units, with unsupported shelves where that is needed.
• Panelling, doors and trim, in the same material line as the rest.
